The follow-up of the Ankama live from Krosmonote

The live will start at 3:30 p.m. with Krosfighter. You will be able to find the live monitoring as well as a summary article, after the live. As the schedule is known in advance, you can already find a division of announcements by games.

Krosmonote 2024 – Introduction

Ankama Live will begin at 3:30 p.m.

Krosmonote 2024 starts with a preshow dedicated to Ankama’s latest game: Krosfighter. This latest one is a party game bringing together the company’s transmedia creations, editions and games, arriving on February 22. You can find all the information about the game in this article. Rewards will be available for purchase for Dofus and Wakfu. It will be available on Steam and the Ankama launcher for €10 (later on Nintendo Switch).

Logan and Ambellina open the Krosmoz more generally after the Krosfighter session to talk about the 20th anniversary of Dofus, as well as the arrival of Wakfu season 4.

DOFUS Touch

Wyze and Yawn, GD on Dofus Touch, participate to talk about the project. The year will be a turning point for this one, with a desire to increasingly separate itself from the PC version.

Among other things, new permanent servers will appear during the year to welcome players arriving since the last updates. Of particular note are Astrub and Albuera. The servers will be multi-account, due to lack of effective restriction, and available on April 3. Pre-registrations will take place from March 12. Achievements will be unlocked to reward rushers, with a progressive content unlocking system (like Frigost at the time). Mergers will be included later if necessary.

Waven

A new battle pass will begin on February 13 on the theme of Wakfu season 4, through two special chapters. Ultimately, the team plans a seasonal mode in the
Necroworldlike the Temporis on Dofus.

The mobile version and the official release of Waven will take place in 2024. The exact date has not yet been set. By then, 5 heroes in the form of Paladirs (yes, like in the time of Krosmaga) will arrive.

Transmedia content and Webtoons

In addition to the broadcast of Wakfu season 4 this evening, adaptations of the series in webtoon format will be on the program, as was the case for Lance Dur in 2023. We will mainly note a “sequel”, acting more or less as that Wakfu season 5 to lead to Waven by June. The Ankama platforms (Krosmoz, AllSkreen) generally benefit from a new appearance for their interfaces.

Finally, an interactive webtoon featuring a clash between 32 Krosmoz transmedia champions will be offered to the community, with a popularity vote to decide what happens next.

Wakfu

The Necromes of Wakfu season 4 will also be present in an expansion of the MMO. The main thing, however, for this Krosmonote is the first prototypes of the redesign of the interfaces, in partnership with the company Figs. She is also working on Dofus 2 Unity. Everything is redone, inspired by more modern interfaces while leaving maximum freedom to the player. For example, it will be possible to search for an object by type of hunt.

The Heroes interface will then be the next to evolve. Please note that these are only prototypes for the moment, and that everything remains to be integrated into the game. You will need a little patience before seeing the Auction Houses. For the complete schedule, you can already find it in the dedicated article.

One More Gate

A DLC pet system will be available on February 27 to help Oropo in battles. Each will have their own appearances, the effects will not change depending on them. The Nintendo Switch version is still in the works, arriving for “Spring 2024”.

DOFUS Retro

Temporis Retro 3 will have as its theme the invasion of the world of Twelve by Rushu. It will arrive “before summer”. A new dungeon, on Grobe (and with the Spotted Dofus) will also appear, directly in game, and will also be available on classic servers. Yaula, Game Designer of the Dofus 2 team, ready for this edition to help carry out the event.

The next Ankama Live around Dofus Rétro will take place on March 14, to discuss Krosmonote news with the community.

DOFUS

The Feca and Steamer overhauls will be the big class balancers in the March update (2.71). The first event arriving in 2024 is that of the Shadow server. It will be an “epic” rush, in guilds, with achievements to be unlocked only for the first players to complete them. Guilds will have points to unlock, both through successes and by farming monsters during the weekends. The event will be available to all subscribed players, a few days after the deployment of 2.71 and for a period of 1 month.

On the classic server side, the old Bosses will be in the spotlight for 2 months with the second season of expeditions. 20 dungeons gain a new temporary version, with new mechanics, with a frieze of unique expeditions.

Finally, to celebrate Ankama’s 20th anniversary, the “15+5” year event will come back into play to allow you to recycle your waste and recover Monstrivan headdresses. It will be accompanied (incidentally) by an overhaul of the Foire du Trool, from September 2024.

Addendum: Riebeck mentions the Almanax for 2.71 at the end of the live.

Competition and KTA

Shax joins the Krosmonote cast to talk about KTA’s current PvP-side event, the Dofus World Cup, with registrations underway. The finals will take place on LAN, with the players’ statues being rewarded directly in-game.

2 20th anniversary tournaments instead of one will take place in 2024 to celebrate the game’s anniversary, with a PvM game for the first time in July, then PvP in October. Both are independent. Crocus, Game Balancing Designer, will join the KTA team on February 12 for a live session to clarify the details around the KTA tournaments.

DOFUS 2 Unity

Several areas are being shown on video on Unity. Frigost, Pandala and Xélorium are resplendent, with their own visual effects. Class-wise, it’s the Xélor that strikes a pose. (Video currently being processed)

The “Hero” or multiple clients in one system officially enters R&D. Despite a “no” at the last Ankama Live in December, it seems that the team is backpedaling in order to follow the opinion of the community. On the planning side, the Flash client will end in December 2024 with the new December servers. First ideas for 2025 content. An open beta, with characters imported onto test servers, will take place from August. These will be “temporary” transfers; only your characters from classic servers will be saved. A beta server is not intended to be permanent.

Finally, the Dofus 2 Unity client will be playable at Japan Expo 2024, with a special convention fight. Another meeting is planned for March 7 to continue communication around the portage.
