2024 - Another Jubillar case? This disturbing investigation in Corrèze

If the Jubillar affair is causing a stir, another is being played out in Corrèze. Indeed, according to our colleagues from Parisian, another woman has been missing since 2018. Her husband is incarcerated.

This is one of the most talked about court cases right now. Since this terrible night from December 15 to 16, 2020, no one has heard from Delphine Jubillar, this mother who disappeared suddenly. Her spouse, Cédric Jubillar, imprisoned for murder of a spouse, still claims his innocence. If all the cameras are turned towards this small village in the Tarn, another investigation echoes that of the Jubillars. Indeed, in Corrèze, a woman has also been reported missing: Lesline Ravel. Dogs find the trail of Lesline Ravel in the woods

Since December 31, 2018, this supermarket cashier no longer gave any sign of life. Hervé Ravel, her husband, reported her disappearance the same day to the gendarmerie. According to our colleagues, his wife would have left the marital home. According to her husband, Lesline Ravel and himself would have argued heavily on Sunday, December 30, 2018. She would then have left her home, driving her car. The man would then have told the investigators that when they argued, his wife often took refuge with her sister-in-law. According to her two children, their mother would have left that day for an argument. But on January 2, 2019, his car was found in an accident. Tracking dogs then follow his trail through the woods.

This is where the investigators will find his lipstick on the surface of a pond. A jacket, pants, used hygienic protection will be found further. If the excavations will continue, nothing else will be found. The investigators will then focus on the husband of Lesline Ravel. Over the course of their research, a funny profile is established: the man, without a criminal record, is described as violent and suffers from problems with alcohol. Worse still, the gendarmes discover that Lesline Ravel wants a divorce. What her husband will confirm. But now on May 10, 2021, Hervé Ravel is summoned by the gendarmerie. He will appear in a state of intoxication and will make some revelations.

Just like in the Jubillar case, no body will be found

On December 30, 2018, after the argument with his wife, he went to pick her up and even spotted her wrecked car. According to him, Lesline Ravel would have made fun of him. The couple would have fought and she would have fallen accidentally. He would then have deposited his body in the forest. Following these statements, Hervé Ravel is placed in pre-trial detention. But now the details he gave do not correspond to the findings of scientists. The bones found are actually those of an animal, the DNA found in the husband’s car belongs only to the children. Like Cédric Jubillar, his requests for release were refused. Once again, no body was found, just like in the Jubillar case.
