The first trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has just been unveiled!
Expected for February 15, 2023, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has unveiled an astonishing trailer, punctuated by a re-orchestration of Elton John’s hit, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road!
Paul Rudd and his team will have to face the formidable Kang the Conqueror, who we see at the end of the trailer, played by Jonathan Majors!
The latter is the new bad guy of the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Thanos the Mad Titan! During the San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige, the big boss of Marvel Studios, assured the microphone of MTV News that Ant-Man and the Wasp. : Quantumania will be a great team movie like Doctor Strange 2.
“Most of our movies like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Ant-Man 3 are great team-up movies that introduce whole swathes of Marvel mythology. While the Avengers movies really should be the crowning glory of a saga .
That’s really what we wanted to do today to lay the groundwork, and say, We’re currently in the middle of the Multiverse saga that will culminate with two Avengers movies: Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.”
Asked by AlloCiné at Comic-Con, the interpreter of Ant-Man, Paul Rudd said: “The Ant-Man movies have a special place within the MCU because of the tone of the movies and the fact that they are set in a family universe. Scott, Hope (Evangeline Lily), Hank (Michael Douglas), Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Cassie (Kathryn Newton) are truly family.”
The actor then explains that Ant-Man 3 will be bigger than the two previous opuses, the film will indeed “exploring hitherto unknown territories”. An announcement confirmed by the director Peyton Reed who specifies that “the majority of the film will take place in the Quantum Realm” and that Quantumania will present “the greatest villain in the Marvel Universe”.
Ant-Man 3 will be released in theaters on February 15, 2023.
