On February 15, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will enter a new Phase with “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”. Thanks in part to the real introduction of Kang the Conqueror, who should be a new type of villain according to Kevin Feige.
Change is now for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Or rather February 15, French release date of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which will mark the start of Phase V. And the real introduction of Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), called to become a threat at least as important as Thanos. See more.
Seen in the Season 1 finale of Loki, the character is set to step up a gear in Peyton Reed’s film, and the latest trailer hints that a death may be in store. What would be the best way to introduce this new villain and his power, like when Thanos made a sensational entrance in Avengers: Infinity War.
If going after the Mad Titan was not easy on paper, Kevin Feige assures that he did not hesitate too much when choosing the new main antagonist of the MCU: “It’s an obvious choice when tackling the multiverse”he says in the pages of Empire. “Kang allowed us to have a different kind of big villain. He’s a different kind of super villain, both in conflict with other versions of himself and with heroes.”

“Kang is a very powerful person, but when we meet him, he’s in a position where he needs to get that power back. He has a vessel and a mechanism that would allow him to go anywhere he wants if he wants. he manages to make it work. If he manages to get his hands on scientific geniuses with Pym particles.”
And that’s exactly what will happen in the feature film, when the heroes will find themselves propelled into the quantum world because of the daughter of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd). Who will find himself faced with a dilemma, when Kang offers him the possibility of making up for the time he lost when he himself was lost in this universe, between the events of Infinity War and Endgame.
