Two days after the call from the presidents of the Senate and the National Assembly for a “great civic march” on Sunday against anti-Semitism in Paris, the Association of Mayors of France (AMF) calls for rallies “in front of each prefecture of department”, at the same time as walking, except in Île-de-France.

The Association of Mayors of France (AMF) called Thursday for rallies against anti-Semitism “in front of each department prefecture” on Sunday afternoon, at the same time as the “civic march” planned in Paris. These gatherings must “allow all French people who wish to join this initiative everywhere in France”, indicates the AMF in a press release, specifying that the approach is being done “in agreement with Gérard Larcher and Yaël Braun-Pivet.

The AMF urges people to “participate massively” in Sunday’s march

The presidents of the Senate and the National Assembly have in fact called for a “great civic march” in the face of the unprecedented explosion of anti-Semitic acts – more than 1,000 in one month – since the start of the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

“It is the very unity of our nation that is in question and that all citizens must defend,” affirms the AMF, which therefore calls for “a rally in front of each department prefecture” on Sunday at 3 p.m., except in the Island. -de-France where she urges “to participate massively in the march” organized at the same time in the capital.
