A residential fire broke out Thursday at the end of the day in an apartment in Antibes (Alpes-Maritimes), learned THE Figaro with the firefighters. The firefighters were called around 6:30 p.m. for a fire on the 3rd floor of a six-storey seniors’ residence, on Chemin des Âmes-du-Purgatoire.

Three residents were seriously injured, including a 90-year-old woman. The latter was taken care of and transported urgently to the Pasteur hospital in Nice. A man and a woman, respectively aged 86 and 76, were hospitalized at the Fontonne hospital in Antibes. “23 people involved and uninjured were evacuated and directed to the victim assembly point. 4 of them will be relocated by the operator. The others can go back to their apartments.specifies the SDIS.
