Available since August 25 on Disney +, the action comedy “Antigang: the next generation” has its share of stunts in store. AlloCiné was able to go to the set.
It took eight for the sequel to the film Antigang to finally see the light of day. It is now done with Antigang: the next generation which was commissioned by Disney +. Still directed by Benjamin Rocher, the film promotes Alban Lenoir who plays the leading role and therefore finds the character of Niels Cartier.
The synopsis: Former legend of the Antigang brigade known for his muscular and unconventional methods, Niels Cartier, left the police following an intervention that went wrong and led to the death of his wife. When the gang of robbers responsible for his death reappears eight years later, Niels doesn’t let anyone stand in his way for revenge. Even if it means having to form an explosive duo in spite of himself with his 14-year-old daughter, with a strong temperament…
True action comedy, less dark than the first opus, Antigang: the next generation plays on the tandem formed by Niels and his daughter Charlotte-Serge (Cassiopée Mayance). And just because there’s a 14-year-old girl in the movie doesn’t mean it’s free of action scenes. Quite the contrary!
AlloCiné was able to go to the filming of the film and followed Jérôme Gaspard, the film’s stunt coordinator and Jean Reno’s stunt double, for two nights. He showed us behind the scenes of the shoot, from the preparation of the model with which he had to jump from the top of a building roof to the fall itself of nearly 20 meters!
