Antonin ("12 strokes of noon") eliminated: "Jean-Luc Reichmann yells at me in my nightmares"

With 18 participations on the clock, and more than 76,000 euros in earnings and gifts, Antonin has something to be proud of. Present every day in The twelve noon shots since Thursday, June 25, 2020, this young 20-year-old Picard has already marked the viewers of TF1. It must be said that he still found a mysterious Star only three days after his arrival in the game! The successor to Colas, who himself eliminated record holder Eric, was also offered the chance to participate in the masters' fight with all of the greatest champions of Jean-Luc Reichmann's show. Unfortunately, the adventure stopped for Antonin Sunday July 19. Between his pride, his regrets, and his nightmares, the student from Sciences Po Paris confided in Current wife about its elimination.

Current Woman: How did you experience your elimination?
Antoninus:
On the day of my first participation, I had said to my roommate, “It's dead, I'm going to do a show and I'm going home.” And then in the end, I was eliminated in the 18th! But my main goal was to reach 100,000 euros in winnings and gifts. What I regret the most, it is not to have taken this step. There are master shots that I missed with one question, which could have allowed me to reach him. Questions, which I also had the answer to. Since we don't have the question in front of us, it's sometimes difficult. It almost makes me sick. I have nightmares about it, where I get yelled at by Jean-Luc because I don't have the answers! It's also hard because it goes very quickly, we go on shoots and everything goes well until the fateful moment.

What did you lose on?
AT. :
I was knocked out with a fatal blow. It was tight too, there wasn't a big time gap with Caroline. I started with two wrong answers, questions that weren't inaccessible but not super simple either, that I could have come up with. Necessarily, the moment we are eliminated, we are a little disgusted… For two, three days, we have a little trouble absorbing the blow. Especially since, as we follow the shootings, we are in the light all day, and suddenly we go home with a bitter taste. I would have liked to be one of the great champions, but I quickly reassured myself by saying that in any case it was already crazy to have arrived there.

Were you glad you got to participate in the Masters fight before you left?
AT. :
In fact, the filming of the Masters took place after my elimination. So it ended up sort of sounding like a consolation prize for me. A bit like Eric. I found it super nice from the production side, because I think they invited me to replace a candidate who couldn't come. It made me really happy because I got to meet the great masters and become part of the family, without being among the best. It made me forget about my loss.

How did those around you react to your elimination?
AT. :
They all cheered me up. My roommate was my companion the day I was eliminated. And in fact … there were my grandparents who were waiting to make the next show! So it was my roommate who warned my whole family and said, 'Don't contact him, he's just been killed and he needs to be alone'. But gradually, in the evening, I received messages of congratulations. They showed no signs of disappointment, just positive. We had a party, we drank champagne, to celebrate with dignity anyway!

What are you going to do with your earnings?
AT. :
I’ve already started to have fun, I have relaxed the bridle a bit because during the confinement, I was careful. So there, knowing that this money was going to come, I said to myself "loose yourself"! I did some shopping during the sales, I had a lot of trouble. But there, I calm down. I will mostly save, maybe take a trip to Rome. After that, it will also make a good contribution for a future real estate purchase. This is truly a godsend, and I also realize that this money is coming during a time of national crisis, a lot of people are losing their jobs and their income. It's going to be complicated for a lot of people, and suddenly it also contributes to my being like 'don't blaze, don't squander' because it's really lucky to have this money falling now.
