Antony Blinken spoke with the President of Azerbaijan


WASHINGTON, Sept 20 (Reuters) – U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev on Tuesday and called on him to immediately end military operations in the Upper -Karabakh, the State Department said in a statement.

Azerbaijan launched military operations described as “anti-terrorist” on Tuesday in the separatist region of Nagorno-Karabakh, populated mainly by Armenians.
