Anya Taylor-Joy, known from “The Queen’s Gambit” and “The Menu”, got married in Venice in a very romantic way.
The queen has found her king: “The Queen’s Gambit” star Anya Taylor-Joy, 27, who attracted everyone’s attention at Fashion Week in Paris a few days ago, has now married in Venice. The British site “Daily Mail” published the first pictures of the actress, who married musician Malcolm McRae, 29, in Italy. In one of the photos, Taylor-Joy looks into the distance from a balcony; she can be seen in a beige wedding dress on which, among other things, a bird motif has been incorporated – directly above her heart. Her bridal veil, on the other hand, was conventional white.
According to the report, around 150 guests attended the wedding. Among them were various Hollywood stars, such as Julia Garner (29, “Ozark”) and Cara Delevingne (31, “Suicide Squad”), as photos show. Actor Nicholas Hoult, 33, with whom Taylor-Joy recently starred in the unusual satire “The Menu”, was also spotted in Venice in the presence of his girlfriend Bryana Holly, 30.
Not a cheap pleasure
Apparently the newlyweds splurged on the fairytale wedding ceremony in Venice. According to the Daily Mail, an Italian wedding planning company has been hired, whose offers only start at 250,000 British pounds (around 290,000 euros). To do this, it goes on to say, you read every wish of the well-heeled clients from their lips.
Anya Taylor-Joy and Malcolm McRae have largely kept their relationship out of the public eye. The two are said to have become a couple in May 2021, and even the immense distance obviously couldn’t put a damper on their love affair: The actress has so far lived mostly in London, while he lives in the USA.
