(CercleFinance.com) – Aperam announced on Friday its intention to reduce its capital through the cancellation of treasury shares, in particular following the finalization of its latest share buyback program.
The stainless steel manufacturer has decided to cancel close to 1.96 million shares, which will have the effect of reducing the number of shares making up its capital from nearly 80 million to 78.04 million. shares.
The operation takes into account the securities acquired as part of its share buyback program announced in July 2021, and which covered 2.45 million units, said the Luxembourg group in a brief press release.
