Apex Legends: Enchantment Event January 10 Update


On the occasion of the kick-off of the Envoûtement collection event on Apex Legendsa update is deployed, allowing to modify certain points and to bring some balances. No major changes to mention, but the rotation of weapons will change, with the return to the ground of the Spitfire and Peacekeeper. The G7 Scout also sees its damage reduced by two points.

The rest are essentially bug fixes. But the developers also gave an update on the game modes, with a few changes worth mentioning. Apex Legends January 10 Update

GAME MODE UPDATES

  • The in-game arrival delay has been extended: matchmaking will try to allocate available places to players until a team reaches 625 points or leads by 300 points.
  • Players who join a game in progress receive bonuses for their first appearance:
    • First Wave Spawn Waiver
    • Purple armor and helmet
    • Full rank level (purple weapons and an ultimate charge)
  • New end game XP bonus in Control Mode (150 XP for completing a game).
  • If a team is 62 points behind or more, they are exempt from the spawn waves.
  • Added a distance indicator to the BRM icon in the world.
  • Added a time remaining indicator on the BRM spawn point icon on the map.
  • Display of an explanation message when placing the BRM is not possible (too close to the allied or enemy base, but also too close to an area).
  • Disappearance of Bloodhound clues after 30 seconds instead of 90.
  • Bloodhound clues disappear when the player who left them dies (except the clue on player death).
  • Various respawn tweaks to further prevent players from spawning near enemies.
  • Inventory tab displayed by default (instead of scoreboard) when accessing in-game menus.
  • Updates to gear in the gear selection menu based on weapon meta changes.
  • Bug and stability fixes.

Weapons

Creative rotation

  • The G7 Scout goes into creation.
  • The CAR submachine gun is in creation.
  • The Spitfire returns to the ground.
  • The Peacekeeper returns to the ground.

Hop-up Anvil Chassis

  • Limb damage multiplier reduced to 0.75 (from 0.9)
  • Flatline damage reduced to 39 (was 43)
  • R-301 damage reduced to 32 (down from 35)

G7 Scout

  • Damage reduced to 32 (down from 34)

PDW Prowler Burst

  • Damage increased to 15 (down from 14)

Sentinel

  • Dynamization with 1 shield cell (instead of 2)

Bug fixes

  • Fixed Mirage Decoys not displaying the shield regeneration effect when near a Wattson Pylon or in Control or Armed Race modes.
  • Added 10 Welcome Challenges to help new players learn about Apex.
  • New Getting Started with Apex reward badge for completing all 10 Welcome Challenges.
  • Character switching in the Shooting Range now has a smoother third-person transition.
  • Fixed a rare issue with the mobile respawn beacon that would sometimes cause the transport ship to spawn out of bounds.
  • Fixed an issue with previewing abilities when entering phase portals.
  • Doors now appear as damaged when they are one melee attack away from being destroyed.
  • Loot canisters in the Caustic dedicated environment now behave more consistently in Control mode.
  • Reduced the visual effect of Caustic’s gas flash.
  • Fixed a rare client hang with IMC Armories.
  • Fixed Bloodhound’s Niflheim Hundr skin raven to appear white more consistently.
  • DirectX 12 beta: integration of the brightness slider in all display modes.
  • DirectX 12 Beta: Fixed stability issue with setting.mat_backbuffer_count value “0” in videoconfig.txt file settings. Note that running Apex Legends under DirectX 11 (DX11) requires the OS to use an additional buffer for composition, which is not accounted for in mat_backbuffer_count. DX12 includes the required buffer in mat_backbuffer_count, so DX12 in fullscreen mode with “1” will have as low latency as DX11 with “0”.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the HUD to disappear when Crypto inspected while using his drone.
  • Fixed an issue where Lobby tabs would become unresponsive after changing resolution on PC.
  • Adjusted hold and press logic to provide more responsiveness to gamepad players looking at gear weapons.
