(Boursier.com) — Apple is preparing for March the launch of new entry-level products, including an iPhone compatible with 5G, as well as a new iPad, even a new Mac computer, according to information published Friday by Bloomberg.

Apple could present these products at the same time the new version of its iOS 15.4 mobile operating system, currently in the beta-testing phase, according to the sources cited by the financial information agency.

A possible video conference on March 8?

It would be the first product launch since last October, when the Apple firm presented a series of new products, including new MacBook Pro and Airpods, during a virtual “keynote”. Apple could proceed with this new launch from March 8, still via a virtual conference, as the group has done since the start of the Covid-19 crisis.

At the entry level, Apple currently offers the iPhone SE, marketed in the spring of 2020 from $399 per unit. The new model might look like it, with the “Touch ID” function of fingerprint recognition, but equipped with a faster processor and access to 5G networks.

The new iPad would be an improved version of the iPad Air, launched in October 2020, according to Bloomberg. The iPad division was the only one whose sales slightly missed the consensus in the last quarter of 2021, a record quarter for the Cupertino giant for both sales and profits.
