Out of nowhere, Apple presents the new MacBook Air. The release date is in a few days and you can already buy the notebooks at these prices.

The US company Apple has introduced new models of the MacBook Air with an M3 chip. A 13-inch model will be released in two possible memory versions as well as a 15-inch device.
The new MacBooks are just 11.5 millimeters thin, offer up to 18 hours of battery life and are even more powerful than previous models.

Apple cites the game No Man’s Sky as an example of this. It runs up to 60 percent faster on the new MacBook than on a 13-inch MacBook Air with an M1 chip. But AI applications or video editing in Final Cut Pro are also faster – in the latter case by up to 60 percent.
Anyone who likes to work on multiple screens might be happy about the new notebook, because when it is closed, two external displays can be operated. This is practical at work, for example, when two screens make work easier.
Prices and availability
Such features and the extra performance obviously come at a price. You can get the 13-inch model with the 256 gigabyte SSD, 8 gigabytes of RAM and 8-core GPU for 1,299 euros. But you can still adjust the RAM and SSD storage when ordering. If you increase everything, you can pay 2,679 euros for a 13-inch model.
If you choose the 15-inch version, you will have to pay at least 1,599 euros. The version with the best features costs 2,979 euros. That’s not a lot of money for a notebook and the MacBook Air used to be cheaper, but you still get various improvements. There is also a discount for the education sector. This means that the new notebook is available for prices starting at 1,199 euros.

You can buy the MacBooks now; Apple will then deliver them on March 8, 2024. The devices will also be available to buy in Apple Stores on that day. Available colors are blue, dark gray, silver and polar star.
