If you were planning to take advantage of the three months offered by Apple Music to test the music streaming service, it’s too late. Apple has decided to reduce the trial period to one month, unless you invest in a new audio product.

If, like Neil Young, you wanted to change creamery after the Joe Rogan and Spotify affair, you will no longer be able to take advantage of the three months offered by Apple Music before you decide.
As spotted by the site MacOtakara, the trial period for the music streaming service is reduced to a single month, in all countries where Apple Music is deployed, including France. But not for everyone though.
Up to six months of trial still possible
Since the launch in June 2015, Apple Music offered a three-month trial offer before finally signing up for the service. A way initially to fight against Spotify and its free offer by then trying to retain users to its paid subscription. Unlike Spotify in the free version, Apple does not include advertising and did not add any during the three months offered to compensate financially.

Spotify monopolizes nearly a third of the global market when Apple Music occupies 2nd place with 15% of paying users, according to figures published by MIDiA.
Almost seven years later, Apple is therefore reducing the airfoil to offer only one month of trial, like many of its competitors. The reputation of the service is well established and this change could even have happened much earlier. However, if you have purchased a HomePod mini, AirPods or Beats headphones, you can still enjoy Apple Music for six months.
Apple offers two formulas: its unchanged offer at 9.99 euros per month for Apple Music in full version (14.99 euros for a subscription for up to five accounts) or at 4.99 euros per month with Apple Music Voice, to access to the same catalog of 90 million titles, but using Siri.
