Under certain conditions, downloading AppleMusic would force the installation of the application on the dock of theiPhone.

The application signed Apple would eject in passing any form of third-party application.

Apple Music forcibly installed on the iPhone dock?

Various users have been reporting for a few days a rather surprising “bug” on their iPhone. Indeed, downloading the Apple Music application from the AppStore would lead to its integration into the iPhone dock. In theory, the dock is customizable by the user only, but Apple Music would come to change this habit, by integrating into the dock as soon as it is downloaded… dislodging a third-party application in the process if necessary.

A problem encountered by various users, who have notably seen Apple Music take the place… of Spotify. A behavior that is unusual to say the least, which would therefore allow Apple Music to “force” certain preferences vis-à-vis the user. Beyond its automatic installation within the iPhone dock, Apple Music would also tend to automatically configure itself as the default music application for any request via Siri.

If Apple indicates that it has become aware of the bug, and is investigating this mystery, this behavior has been pointed out by Tim Sweeney, boss of Epic Games. The latter explains that Apple would have voluntarily modified certain parameters of iOS to highlight its applications. Remember that Apple and Epic Games have been at war for many months now over a certain Fortnite.
