Several videos show Tesla drivers using the Apple Vision Pro while behind the wheel of Cybertruck and Co.

Regardless of whether there are dogs or sleeping teenagers behind the wheel: the autopilot and full self-driving (FSD) functions in Tesla electric cars have been frequently abused in the past and have repeatedly led to potentially dangerous situations. Despite the contradictory name, the Tesla system is technically and legally designed to be monitored by a human at all times.
Tesla and Elon Musk therefore repeatedly point out that drivers must always have both hands on the steering wheel and should not divert their attention to other activities. But apparently the temptation is too great for some Tesla customers to use the new Apple Vision Pro mixed reality glasses while driving.
The US magazine Electrek found two corresponding cases on the social media platform X. In the first video, a driver in a Tesla Cybertruck can be seen using both hands to move windows that are invisible to outsiders while driving.
The second video shows a man typing on the Apple Vision Pro’s virtual keyboard with both hands while driving. The fact that he is targeted by the police and stopped doesn’t seem to bother him.
Thanks to numerous cameras, the new Apple glasses enable reality to be shown in the glasses. The image is first recorded and then projected inside. This means there are minimal time delays, which can be dangerous, especially when driving – not to mention distracting. Apple also strictly advises against using the Vision Pro while driving.
