Apple’s Vision Pro mixed reality headset relies on high-resolution OLED displays. Leakers are currently providing new information on these.
At its keynote in June, Apple announced its first mixed reality headset, the Vision Pro. The new hardware was announced for spring 2024 and should then go on sale for $3,500. There are always new rumors about the glasses, the most recent one is about the refresh rate of the built-in displays.

The headset has two high-resolution OLED panels with a total of 23 million pixels. Apple is said to set a refresh rate of 90 Hertz by default. According to a tweet by Leaker DuanRui, this is variable and can be increased to 100 Hertz – depending on the content shown.
As reported by 9to5Mac, 90 hertz is the minimum refresh rate for virtual reality experiences. This is because the human brain would accept 90 hertz as natural motion. However, it remains to be seen in reality whether a variable frequency of 10 Hertz will make a significant difference in perception.
