It should be an Apple Watch? Then you’re in luck in the new year: Aldi will soon be offering the cult smartwatch for little money. We’ll tell you if the deal is worth it – because there are two caveats to consider.
Update January 17, 2022: Aldi Süd will be offering the Apple Watch Series 3 with a diameter of 38 mm from January 27, 2022 for 169 euros. Compared to the December offer (see below), the price has increased slightly, but otherwise there are no changes.

Aldi Nord offers Apple Watch Series 3 for 155 euros
Starting today, December 13, Aldi Nord is offering the Apple Watch Series 3 for a low price of 155 euros. The discounter undercuts the price at Apple itself by a whopping 64 euros. The small model is available with a case diameter of 38 mm.
Before you strike, however, you should be aware of two limitations: Firstly, it is not a new product. Aldi sells refurbished Apple Watches. These are smartwatches that have already been used but have been refurbished and are now going on sale again. If, on the other hand, you buy from Apple itself, you get new goods. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether the extra charge of 64 euros is worth it.
In addition, the Series 3 is already a few years old. the Smartwatch was released in 2017 and is now technically lagging behind. Many new watchOS features are not available on the smartwatch, and due to the low memory, Apple even advises unpairing the watch from the iPhone before updating to a new OS version. It is doubtful whether the Apple Watch Series 3 will receive watchOS 9 in the coming year.
