Arcadegeddon: already 1 million players for the IllFonic shooter

IllFonic managed to offer a very nice asymmetrical multiplayer game with Friday the 13th: The Gameunfortunately abandoned due to rights issues, and Predator: Hunting Grounds clearly did not meet with the expected success. The studio even trashed a game at the end of 2020, but it released the following year Arcadegeddon in early access on PC and PS5.

The title was released in final version on July 5 on PC, PS4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and it now has over a million playersas announced today IllFonic. A nice plateau reached in less than a month, even if it is worth remembering thatArcadegeddon was offered to subscribers Playstation Plus in July, which obviously helped push the numbers up. And if you don’t know the game, here is a little presentation:

Players dive into the new hit game from Gilly’s Arcade room and keep the invading demons of the sinister mega-corporation Fun Fun Co. at bay with friends and/or strangers through cross-play between all the versions of the game. They will have to work together to save the arcade across six biomes in PVE modes, and compete for glory in seven different modes with hundreds of map combinations and mods.

IllFonic reminds in passing thatArcadegeddon will be entitled to a physical edition from August 30ththanks to Nighthawk Interactiveyou can pre-order it against €29.99 on Amazon. The studio is also developing Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashedexpected this year on PC, playstation and Xbox.
