(CercleFinance.com) – ArcelorMittal announces that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the automotive supplier Snop, focusing on sustainable development, in particular through the use of the steelmaker’s low-carbon XCarb products.
The cooperation between the two companies also includes a commitment to test the use of Usibor, ArcelorMittal’s high-strength, low-carbon steel, in structural automotive parts.
“High-strength structural auto parts, used as part of a vehicle, have already been manufactured by the Snop and ArcelorMittal teams, with initial testing of the parts underway,” they said.
