Are you a fan of Outlander? This is what Jamie and Claire’s parents will look like in the new Netflix series!

“Outlander: Blood Of My Blood,” the “Outlander” prequel series, introduces Jamie and Claire’s parents as production begins…

Production has officially begun on the highly anticipated Outlander prequel, Outlander: Blood of My Blood, and as Deadline reveals, the series will focus not only on the lives and relationship of Jamie’s (Sam Heughan) parents but also those of Claire (Caitriona Balfe)!

On Jamie’s side, his mother Ellen MacKenzie will be played by Harriet Slater (Pennyworth, Indiana Jones and the Clock of Destiny) and his father Brian Fraser will be played by Jamie Roy (Condor’s Nest). As for Claire’s parents, Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp, they will respectively be played by Hermione Corfield (Kirsty McLeod’s Last Dance, We Hunt Together) and Jeremy Irvine (War Horse, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again).

The series, produced by Sony Pictures Television for Starz, will be filmed in Scotland and will therefore focus on these two parallel love stories set in two different periods, with Jamie’s parents in the Scottish Highlands of the early 18th century and the Claire’s parents during the First World War in England.

We are excited to tell the stories of these two couples. The origins of their relationships explore universal themes that transcend time and we’re excited for fans to discover and fall in love with these characters and their love stories as they did with Claire and Jamie”, said Matthew B. Roberts, showrunner, executive producer and writer of the prequel who also worked on the parent series.

In addition to Matthew B. Roberts, Ronald D. Moore will also executive produce alongside Maril Davis. Moore and Davis developed Outlander for television with their production company, Tall Ship Productions. Diana Gabaldon, the author of the novels that inspired the original series, will also serve as consulting producer.

During this time, Outlandershe continues on her little (big) journey: the second part of its season 7 should be broadcast in 2024. The series will, however, end with an eighth and final season to come.

While waiting for these new episodes as well as this prequel, the first 7 seasons (and a half) of Outlander can be watched again in streaming on Netflix.
