Ark: Survival Ascended, the remaster boosted with Unreal Engine 5 is postponed to October

Definitely nothing will ever be simple with Ark: Survival Ascended. After having already had to rework the entire pricing strategy for its remaster last spring, Studio Wildcard must now take stock of a program that is constantly changing. For starters, the game is now due out in October on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, extra time for developers to tame the Unreal Engine 5.2 engine and build a cross-platform ecosystem on consoles and PC. Despite this postponement, the content of the game at launch will be less provided than initially announced, the fault of the postponement of the extension Scorched Earth which is ultimately targeting a December 2023 release, while Ragnarok And Aberration are set for early 2024.

Ark: Survival Descended

The good news is that Studio Wildcard will lower the price of the game accordingly, especially since it will finally be launched in early access. Instead of 60 dollars, Ark: Survival Ascended will debut at $45, or even $40 for those who take advantage of the launch discount. Note that all extensions will be added at no additional cost and that early access will last for a good year, the time to put all the extensions through the Unreal Engine 5 mill. Regarding the lack of gameplay, judged suspicious at this stage of development, Studio Wildcard replies that they want to wait until they are closer to launch so that the images best reflect the final content.
