Announced in November 2021 by Microids and Pastagames, Arkanoid: Eternal Battle has finally set its release date for October 27th. The title will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
The famous brick-breaking game is making a comeback, more than 35 years after Taito’s original game, but in a modernized version. Nostalgics will be able to find the key elements of the license but this time with a new look as well as new rules and functionalities.
This new opus will offer four game modes. As for the solo modes, we can thus discover Neo, which offers to take advantage of the original gameplay while having new powers and new ships. Or even Retro, which will take us back to the arcade version of Arkanoid, with vintage visuals.
As for multiplayer modes, Versus will be played by 2 to 4 players locally on the same screen. Eternal Battle will allow 25 players to compete online in a battle royale atmosphere.
