Arnold Schwarzenegger: That's why he canceled a visit to the gym

The Gold's Gym in Venice Beach, California near Los Angeles is considered the Mecca of bodybuilding. Of course, mainly because Arnold Schwarzenegger (72, "Terminator") has been exercising his muscles there regularly since the late 1960s. After the corona-related closure of the studio, the terminator wanted to lift a few weights on the first day of the reopening, according to information from the US portal "TMZ". But nothing came of it:

Schwarzenegger is said to have arrived by bike for a small workout on Tuesday morning, but after a short chat with the operators, he left the gym and went home – without training. The reason: the athletes train there without mouth-nose protection. Only in the changing rooms and other common rooms there would be a mask requirement. Training is carried out on the devices themselves without infection protection.

The Gold's Gym thus fulfills all California regulations, but Schwarzenegger apparently does not go far enough. He sees an increased risk of infection. According to the information in the paper, he would stay away from his studio until the athletes wear all masks or until a vaccine can protect him from infection. But he can still train: The Terminator has his own private gym in his villa.
