The Gold's Gym in Venice Beach, California near Los Angeles is considered the Mecca of bodybuilding. Of course, mainly because Arnold Schwarzenegger (72, "Terminator") has been exercising his muscles there regularly since the late 1960s. Schwarzenegger is said to have arrived by bike for a small workout on Tuesday morning, but after a short chat with the operators, he left the gym and went home – without training. The reason: the athletes train there without mouth-nose protection. Only in the changing rooms and other common rooms there would be a mask requirement. Training is carried out on the devices themselves without infection protection.
The Gold's Gym thus fulfills all California regulations, but Schwarzenegger apparently does not go far enough. He sees an increased risk of infection.
