Arsenal FC must tremble
Manchester United handles AS Roma
After a runaway win at Old Trafford, Manchester United can plan for the Europa League final. League rivals Arsenal have to hope for a turnaround after a narrow away defeat in a week.
The German national soccer goalkeeper Bernd Leno has to tremble with Arsenal for a place in the Europa League final. The Gunners are under pressure to succeed due to the 1: 2 (0: 0) defeat in the semi-final first leg at Villarreal FC in the second leg (6 May / Thursday). Arsenal’s English Premier League rivals Manchester United, on the other hand, can continue to hope for their second success in the “small European Cup” after their 6-2 (1-2) goal frenzy with Italian representatives AS Roma.
Arsenal lost a better starting position for the second leg before the break. Manuel Trigueros (5th) and Raul Albiol (29th) gave the Spanish hosts an important advantage for the second comparison. The Bundesliga participants Bayer Leverkusen and TSG Hoffenheim have only been spectators since the last sixteen. Both clubs failed at the beginning of the knockout phase in the round of 32.
