Google Stadia is almost over. But just before the closure of the service, its developers offer a small piece of its history for free.

You only have until January 18 to try it out.

In two days, Google will unplug Stadia. And this, even if the developers seemed to have forgotten it just a few days ago… While refunds are in progress for the few users of the Cloud gaming platform, the developers had one last little thing up their sleeve : Worm Game.

On its Stadia page, this free game is humbly described as follows: “ It won’t be named Game of the Year, but the Stadia team spent a LOT of time playing it, and now we’d like to share it with you. Thanks for playing, and thanks for everything “.

Indeed, this title which necessarily recalls a certain Snake was primarily a very simple game used by developers to test Stadia features. And this, even before the public launch in 2019. A small gift and above all a small piece of history of the development of the Google platform, therefore.

Only offered in English (which shouldn’t really be a problem), Worm Game played with keyboard or joystick. And since we’re talking about controllers, let’s note in passing that next week Stadia controllers will be updated to unlock their Bluetooth capability. What continue to use them more easily with other terminals.

A FAQ for refunds

If you are a Stadia player, and you missed the announcement of the very soon end of the service, a FAQ concerning this killing as well as refunds is online. These are normally processed automatically since November 2022, but it costs nothing to check for yourself.
