In theory, Ascender cleans your entire floors in one charge

Unlike its counterparts, Ascender does not change direction when presented with stairs. It uses a pair of robotic legs to pull itself up onto the step, then they snap back into place, returning the vacuum to its usual appearance. Notably, the device cleans the steps as it climbs, saving its owner from a task that can be painful. It achieves this thanks to its omnidirectional wheels, which allow it to maneuver from side to side without having to turn.

Migo Robotics ensures that its vacuum cleaner is effective on floors and carpets. It is therefore, in theory, capable of cleaning the entire house. It uses an artificial intelligence system based on LIDAR scanners and vision sensors to detect and reconstruct the environment, a technology widespread in the industry. In this way, it creates a precise map of the home and can plan its route independently.

The company guarantees cleaning of 500 square meters in a single charge. Its station, for its part, is also capable of emptying its dust bin, changing its water tank and washing its mop.

Questions remain

Because, in addition to a brush capable of rotating 90 degrees, Ascender is also equipped with a mop, which it adjusts by identifying the surface on which it is located. It should fit perfectly into a connected home, being compatible with Matter, Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit.

However, you will need to be patient in order to evaluate its actual performance. Some crowdfunding campaigns sometimes experience disappointing results, while Migo Robotics does not provide information on its price, although a figure of $1,399 has been mentioned in the past.
