Ashley Graham is overjoyed: since January 18, 2020 she is the happy mother of a little son. The plus-size model and her husband Justin Ervin are blown away and enjoy their baby happiness to the fullest. Ashley has already published the first pictures of her baby on Instagram. In a YouTube video, she now reveals intimate details about the birth of the little one, whose full name Isaac Menelik Giovanni Ervin is called.
Ashley's amniotic sac burst during her yoga workout
Ashley reveals that she felt contractions on the morning of January 18. Still, she wanted to start the day as planned. So she went out with husband Justin to have breakfast. However, the food was repeatedly interrupted by contractions. The subsequent yoga session was completely over: Ashley Grisham's amniotic sac burst after 15 minutes and for the 31-year-old and her husband it was clear: now it starts.
The baby was born at home
Even before the baby was born, Ashley Graham had decided that her child should be born at home. In her video, she says that she would certainly not have been so relaxed if the birth had taken place in a hospital. The relaxed atmosphere, the dimmed lights and the pool would have helped her a lot. After her amniotic sac burst, a midwife and a doula came to her home. They prepared the birth and supported the mother-to-be.
It took six hours for her son to see the light of day, according to Ashley Graham. She made a conscious decision to give birth naturally – she wanted to feel everything. Ashley is particularly grateful to her husband Justin, who was a huge help to her. While Ashley was lying in the bathtub with severe pain, Justin kept giving her courage. Ashley Graham reveals full of emotion in the interview: "When I realized that you had tears in your eyes because you saw his head, it gave me so much strength and courage to finally give birth to our son". After this moving experience, Ashley Graham is now very proud:
I feel like nothing can stop me now. I feel invincible.
She is also proud of Papa Justin and praises his ability to wrap: "For me you are a super papa with the diapers. You are full of it, buddy. We will stay family forever!"
