Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis reprise their roles in That ’90s Show. A “bizarre” comeback.

The guest appearance on “That ’90s Show” was a very special experience for Ashton Kutcher (44). In the Netflix offshoot of the cult sitcom “That 70’s Show”, the actor finally met the team from the original series, with which he once made his breakthrough – and where he met his future wife Mila Kunis (38).

“It was really nostalgic to be back on set” Kutcher revealed to Variety. “It’s the same people who did That ’70s Show, so it was pretty bizarre.”

Kutcher and wife Mila Kunis only had to think twice before agreeing to “That ’90s Show.” “We were like, ‘We’re in the position we’re in now because of this series, so let’s just go back and do this,'” Kutcher said. “We just came back and had fun for a week”.

“That ’90s Show”: That’s behind Netflix’s “That ’70 Show” offshoot

The spin-off takes place in 1995, a good 15 years after “The Seventies Show”. The focus is on the daughter of Eric (Topher Grace, 44) and Donna (Laura Prepon, 42). She visits her grandparents in Point Place during the holidays. Along with Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, Topher Grace and Laura Prepon return in guest roles. Kurtwood Smith (79) and Debra Jo Rupp (71) are also honored as Eric’s parents. The focus of the series, however, is the next generation of kids in Point Place.

“That ’70s Show” ran from 1998 to 2006. Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis met on the set. But they didn’t get married until 2015. In 2002, the US broadcaster FOX was already attempting a new edition. “That ’80s Show” didn’t get past 13 episodes. There were no cast members from the original on board at the time. Netflix has yet to announce a release date for That ’90s Show.
