A leaker video for Assassin’s Creed Red provides further details about the upcoming title. We’ll tell you how big the map should be.
- A leak provides information about the size of the map and new gameplay features.
- The size surpasses Valhalla, but places more emphasis on exploration and less on markers.
- Despite the size, the map remains smaller than in Odyssey.
There is more information about Assassin’s Creed Red. After previous leaks about the protagonist’s name and backstory, there is now also information about the size of the map.
The leak comes from French-speaking YouTuber j0nathan and a user on Reddit translated this information and made it available to the community.
Larger map than in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
The leaker describes the map of Assassin’s Creed Red as larger compared to that in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which enables extensive and detailed exploration of feudal Japan. In addition, the number of markings on the map should be reduced.
Although the map is larger than that of Valhalla, it remains smaller than that of Odyssey. The design of the map from the upcoming game could therefore represent a balance between scope and detailed design.
New gameplay features
There are also new gameplay features including a grappling hook, similar to the one in Sekiro and Ghost of Tsushima, as well as the ability to lie down. Players should be able to hide in different types of grass, duck into shadows and darkness, and extinguish torches to create hiding places.
Naoi, the female shinobi, is said to have kunai, shurikens, smoke bombs and bells as her equipment. Another interesting addition is a posture system, similar to the one in Sekiro, which allows enemies to be destabilized.
You’ll find out what the upcoming game is actually about when it’s released at the latest. As soon as there is an official release date, you will find it in our game release list.
