Pathé has just unveiled the many character posters for “Asterix and Obelix: The Middle Empire”, in theaters on February 1.
The character posters of Asterix and Obelix: The Middle Empire by Guillaume Canet have just been unveiled. The feature film, based on a completely new story written by the screenwriters of the Tuches, Philippe Mechelen and Julien Hervé, and Guillaume Canet, begins in 50 BC.
The Empress of China (Linh-Dan Pham) is imprisoned following a coup fomented by Deng Tsin Quin (Bun-Hay Mean), a traitorous prince.
Helped by Graindemaïs (Jonathan Cohen), a Phoenician merchant, and by his faithful warrior Tat Han (Leanna Chea), Princess Fu Yi (Julie Chen), only daughter of the Empress, flees to Gaul to ask for helps the two brave warriors Asterix (Guillaume Canet) and Obelix (Gilles Lellouche), endowed with superhuman strength thanks to their magic potion.
Our two inseparable Gauls of course agree to help the Princess to save her mother and liberate her country. And here they are all on their way for a great adventure to China. But Caesar (Vincent Cassel) and his powerful army, always thirsty for conquest, have also taken over the leadership of the Middle Empire…
The feature film will be released in theaters on February 1. In the meantime, discover all the protagonists.
