The adventures of Astrid and Raphaëlle are about to come to an end. After 6 weeks of broadcast, France 2 will offer on Friday December 22 from 9:10 p.m. the last episode of season 4 of the detective series hosted by Sara Mortensen and Lola Dewaere.
This new burst of episodes was marked by change for our two heroines. Astrid has indeed seen Niels, 7 years old, emerge into her life, a very invasive half-brother whose existence she learned at the end of season 3.
Her relationship with Tetsuo also evolved a lot during these 8 episodes, the two starting to have a real intimate relationship and Astrid even starting to question his desires.
For her part, Raphaëlle, who thought she was finally concluding with Nicolas, had to change her mind following a sentimental misunderstanding. And the latter is not at the end of her troubles since episode 8 of Astrid and Raphaëlle will put her before a new challenge.

A concept episode that the writers love to slip into each season of the detective series, as Alexandre de Seguins, creator and showrunner of the fiction explained during a press briefing.
“We have a little agreement between us. We still have concept episodes,” he confided. “All the episodes of the season still remain in the classic structure of detective series, except episode 8 which is always the one where we let go of the horses. This year, we had a lot of fun with episode 8 of season 4.”
“This is a concept episode. There’s always a crime to solve, but it’s a little crazier. In this type of episode, we have a collusion with the spectators and we decide to break the codes a little, and we always try to surprise.”
Always as original, this final episode of Astrid and Raphaëlle also offers an open ending, with a revelation which should, without revealing too much, leave fans of the detective series speechless. A thrilling finale full of twists and turns which will shake up the cards for future season 5.
