The first lawsuit against Travis Scott and Drake was filed after the Astroworld tragedy. A fan is asking for a million dollars.

For the two rappers Travis Scott (30) and Drake (35), the tragedy at the Astroworld Festival has legal consequences. A visitor, who claims to have been “seriously injured” in the mass panic, accuses the musicians of inciting the audience. He’s asking for a million dollars in damages. This is reported, among other things, by the “Daily Mail”, which even printed the complaint.

Drake, who was on stage as a guest of Scott, also helped to stir up the crowd. Rapper Travis Scott has been fined twice in the past for encouraging fans to break safety barriers and storm the stage.

Serious allegations against rappers and organizers

According to the plaintiff, Kristian Paredes, there were tumults shortly before Scott’s appearance. After Scott then took the stage, this degenerated and some fans immediately asked the security staff for help, but were ignored. Eight people died on Friday evening in the mass panic in Houston, Texas, and more than 300 were injured, some seriously.

According to Paredes, the deaths and injuries were avoidable: Both the rappers and the organizers negligently, carelessly and recklessly accepted the mass panic. His lawyer said in a statement: “There is no excuse for the events that took place at NRG Stadium on Friday night.” They put profit over the health of the visitors and just let a “deadly show” go on.
