A gray shark attacks her while she was bathing. Brave, she got rid of it and got out of the water despite several deep wounds and lacerations on her foot.
She had always had fear of being bitten by something in the water. Unfortunately, this is what happened on December 27, 2022 when she decided to bathing while at the beach of Hobe Sound, Florida, with his grandmother and his 6-year-old brother. Jasmine Carney, 10, was attacked by a shark while she bathed. While she was in the water, she suddenly felt pain reports The Sun quoting the brave girl’s statement. Horrified, Jasmine looked down and saw a shark chewing his foot.
“Something grabbed me. He looked pretty big and it was gray. It hurt, so I was like ‘kick it and save yourself‘“, Jasmine told WPTV. Under the kicks of the 10-year-old, the shark let go and fled. Nana! something bit me“said Stephanie Carney, Jasmine’s adoptive grandmother.
“A piece of her foot was missing”, but she remained brave
According to Stephanie Carney, her brave little girl was immediately support by lifeguards. They put a tourniquet on his ankle to stop the bleeding. She was then airlifted to a nearby hospital. Jasmine was brave and calm despite the horrible attack she had just suffered. Dr Nir Hus said: “She was very positive from the start. “He was missing a piece of his foot. Luckily for her, it’s the only place where she was bitten.“
