There was a spectacular accident in Wies on Tuesday evening. A woman crashed her car into a display window in the Wieser shopping center.
“The driver drove out of a parking space in the wrong direction for an unknown reason, crossed the walking area of the shop and then broke through the outer pane of the shop in the checkout area,” reports the Wies fire brigade. Fortunately, neither the driver nor customers nor employees in the shop were injured. After securing the danger area, the loose glass parts of the facade were removed by the Floriani. The glass splinters, which had spread across the sidewalk, parking lot and shop, were swept up and disposed of. In order to get the business “tight” again, the open facade was screwed or glued with wooden panels and foil. The Wies fire brigade was on duty with three vehicles and twelve comrades for around two hours. Two police officers from the Wies Police Inspectorate were also on site.
