At Asko, the wine cellar takes place under the worktop


Not all wine lovers necessarily have a real cellar in their house (or in their building for those who live in an apartment) in which it is possible to store wine in good conditions. Wine cellars aim to remedy this problem and take on the appearance of a refrigerator in which the temperature is particularly stable and the humidity is completely controlled. They are also designed to limit the impact of UV rays and movement so that the taste qualities of the stored nectars are not altered.

The Asko WCN15842G wine cellar, for example, has a compressor mounted on shock absorbers to limit vibrations. And to combat UV rays, Asko has provided specially treated glass to stop them and triple glazing aimed at limiting temperature variations. This is also maintained between +5°C and +20°C thanks to the manufacturer’s Multi Air Flow system responsible for distributing freshness evenly in the enclosure thanks to a fan, but also for quickly returning to the initial temperature after opening the door. It should be noted that temperature adjustments are made using a control panel made up of sensitive keys and an electronic display. This being located in the enclosure, a significant temperature variation may therefore occur while all this is configured.

As an undercounter model, the Asko WCN15842G wine cellar measures 85 cm high by 60 cm wide and 57 cm deep. It can only accommodate “only” 44 bottles in its single enclosure. For those who need two storage spaces with two different temperatures (to store a Burgundy red and an Alsace white in the same device, for example), Asko has provided the WCN25842G which has two storage areas. The control panel is used to delimit spaces. Please note, the capacity is reduced and this model contains 38 bottles.
