Is there an “unpleasant” solution for Nübel?
Alexander Nübel will probably leave FC Bayern in the summer, at least on loan. That’s the goalkeeper’s plan, and FC Bayern can also make friends with the idea. Apparently there are already several interested parties. And suddenly there is a very spectacular solution in the room.
According to “Sport1”, Borussia Dortmund is also looking for a new goalkeeper with a problem with rivals FC Bayern Munich: The name Alexander Nübel is also on the list of possible candidates. BVB has a good relationship with Stefan Backs, advisor to Munich number two, whose agency is based in Dortmund. He maintains good relationships with sports director Michael Zorc. BVB has been following the goalkeeper’s development closely for a long time. There was already interest when it was clear that Nübel would leave FC Schalke 04 in the direction of Munich.
According to the report, however, BVB has not yet become really concrete. Nübel came to Bayern last summer from FC Schalke 04 on a free transfer, where he signed a contract until 2025. Since the goalkeeper has only been able to book three missions so far, he is looking for a change. “Alexander Nübel remains our number 2,” said Bayern board member Oliver Kahn. “We are totally convinced of this goalkeeper.” There is therefore “only” one loan shop in the room to collect match practice.
Backs had recently emphasized in the Sport1 podcast “Meine Bayern-Woche”: “It was clear to us that Alexander could play this role for one year that he is playing now. Desired candidate too expensive?
Dortmund’s preferred candidate is “Sport1”, according to Péter Gulácsi from RB Leipzig.
