At €95/month, the Hyundai Kona Electric becomes one of the best social leasing offers

Launched with a fairly limited range of electric cars, social leasing is being enriched with new offers. After the Renault Zoe and Kangoo E-Tech, as well as the Nissan Leaf, it is the turn of the Hyundai Kona Electric to join the list of eligible models.

Thanks to its production in the Czech Republic, it is the only vehicle from the Hyundai group (HMG) to be eligible for the 2024 ecological bonus and therefore for social leasing, which is based on the same eligibility criteria. Cars offered through social leasing must also not exceed a rent of €150 per month, after taking into account €13,000 in state aid.

The Kona Electric starts at €95 per month (over 37 months and 37,000 km, with purchase option) and becomes the cheapest city SUV in social leasing. At this price, customers will be entitled to the entry-level version of the Kona Electric, in Intuitive finish and with its 48 kWh battery. However, the equipment is already correct and the range reaches 377 km. By way of comparison, the Opel Mokka Electric, available from €119 per month through social leasing, only has a range of 322 km. And to benefit from the 409 km of autonomy of the Fiat 600e, you have to pay at least €129 per month.

A record of autonomy for social leasing

In addition, the 65 kWh version of the Kona Electric is also eligible for social leasing, for a rent of €141 per month, still in Intuitive finish. It reaches a very flattering range of 514 km. This is a record for the models available through social leasing, which makes it possible to consider making it the only car in a household. The Kona is also a good electric vehicle, but it is unfortunately handicapped by a high price outside of social leasing.
