At least 12 migrants drowned off Tunisia


TUNIS, April 24 (Reuters) – At least 12 migrants have drowned after four boats carrying 120 people sank off the coast of Tunisia, a security official told Reuters on Saturday, saying 10 more people were missing.

Lieutenant-Colonel Ali Aayar, a member of Tunisia’s coast guard, added that 98 migrants had been rescued off Sfax. (Report Tarek Amara; French version Camille Raynaud)
