At least ten dead in landslide in Colombia

At least ten people were killed in a landslide after heavy rainfall in Colombia. The rescue workers said they were able to rescue nine people alive after a landslide on Tuesday night buried a boarding house and another house in Mallama in the south-west of the country. Two of the rescued were in mortal danger.

According to its own information, the disaster control authority expected further victims. The main road to the region near the border with Ecuador was also buried by the mudslide. Helpers with heavy equipment tried to clear the earth.
