At police control – drug driver (50) wanted to falsify the urine test

A driver from Leonding, who was stopped by the police in Linz, tried rather unabashedly to cover up the fact that he had consumed drugs before the trip. For the urine test, he used “fake urine”, which he carried in a bag in his underpants. The suspicious officials did not give up and were finally able to convict the man.

During a routine check, police officers found clear symptoms of drug abuse in a 50-year-old from Leonding. A voluntary urine test turned out negative – this made the officials suspicious. A saliva pre-test suddenly gave a positive result for two substances.

Forgery of evidence
But then it was discovered why the urine test had shown nothing: the man had “fake urine” with him in a white plastic bag and wanted to discard it inconspicuously during the official act. He eventually admitted using marijuana. The driver’s license is temporarily gone and the 50-year-old receives a complaint for falsification of evidence.
