Horror accident in Tyrol! On the Inntal autobahn near Imst, shortly after the Roppen tunnel in the direction of Arlberg, there was a serious wrong-way driver accident on Friday evening. Two people were injured.
Shortly after 6 p.m., a 73-year-old woman drove her car in Imst from Imsterberger Landesstraße against the prescribed direction of travel on the A12 heading east. “A driver of a car who was approaching the woman according to the regulations dodged the vehicle and hit another car that was driving according to the regulations,” the police said.
Driver’s license removed
Both car drivers – two Austrians (63 and 79 years old) – were injured in the collision. Significant property damage was caused to the vehicles. The ghost driver continued her drive to the entrance to the west portal of the Roppen tunnel and stopped there on the median. The driver’s license was provisionally removed from the locals.
