Atari: capital increase of 12.5 million euros

(CercleFinance.com) – The Atari share jumped nearly 8% on Wednesday on the Paris Stock Exchange, the announcement of a fundraising of around 12.5 million euros seeming to reassure the market.

The video game group launched this morning a capital increase of the order, with maintenance of the preferential subscription right for all shareholders.

The operation is already subject to an irrevocable subscription commitment from Irata, the company’s main shareholder, for 75% of the total amount of the capital increase.

The new shares will be issued at a unit subscription price of 0.1640 euro, against a closing price of 0.2005 euro yesterday evening, for a subscription period scheduled from March 15 to 28.

As an indication, the participation of a shareholder who holds 1% of the capital before the capital increase would be reduced to 0.80% in the event of full exercise of the operation.

The fundraising must be used to strengthen the financial structure of the interactive entertainment group, to clear its working capital by paying short-term debts and to have the financial flexibility to deploy ‘new growth levers’.
