Squeezie, France’s leading YouTuber with 18.8 million subscribers, will return to the video platform on May 18 after a four-month break.

Squeezie, the first YouTuber in France, will make his return to the video platform on May 18 after a four-month break, he announced Saturday evening on the social network X. “Back on YouTube Saturday May 18” , said the star content creator in a message accompanying a short montage of excerpts from his old videos.

The need to “rest”

At 28, Squeezie, whose real name is Lucas Hauchard, announced a break of “two, three months” in a video broadcast on January 22. He had justified this parenthesis by the need “to rest, to have clear ideas, to have inspiration too”. This announcement followed three days after the release on the Amazon Prime Video platform of a documentary devoted to his journey, “Merci Internet”, directed by his friend Théodore Bonnet.

Squeezie has experienced a meteoric rise to today accumulate 18.8 million subscribers on YouTube, a record in France. However, he is followed by another content creator, Tibo InShape, who has 18.1 million subscribers.
