ATH-GL3 and ATH-GDL3: a new duo of gaming headsets by Audio Technica

The ATH-G family, which includes helmets gaming from Audio Technica, is expanding at the start of the year with the introduction of the ATH-GL3 and ATH-GDL3, two and a half years after the ATH-G1 and ATH-G1WL. The newcomers retain much the same design, in particular with the metallic main headband and its highly visible adjustable part, its ear cushions combining both imitation leather and fabric, and the detachable gooseneck microphone accompanied by its small windshield . However, the manufacturer has made some notable changes: the addition of a double hoop system, the lower part of which is removable, and the transition to a much more rounded shape at the level of the ear cups.

Sound reproduction still seems to be provided by the same pair of 45mm speakers used on the two previous ATH-G models, promising anyone who will listen “sound purity still rare in the gaming world”. The ATH-GL3 and ATH-GDL3 come with two cables: a 3 m long one terminating in a double mini-jack connector and a shorter 1.2 m cable for mobile use or connection to a gamepad. compatible game console. No frills on the controls: a wheel for volume control and a button to activate/deactivate the microphone are integrated on the left atrium.

While the ATH-G1 and ATH-G1WL were aimed at the top of the basket from a price point of view, the ATH-GL3 and ATH-GDL3 are launched at a significantly softer price, at 119 and 139 € respectively. The models are available in two different colors: black or white.
