Following market rumours, the company has just confirmed on Tuesday, September 27 that it received an unsolicited letter of intent from onepoint, associated with the Anglo-Saxon investment fund ICG, relating to a potential acquisition of the “Evidian” perimeter. for an enterprise value of 4.2 billion euros.
After careful examination of this preliminary and non-binding expression of interest, and on the recommendation of its ad hoc committee, the Board of Directors met and unanimously noted that it is not in the interests of society and its stakeholders. The Board of Directors has therefore decided not to proceed with it.
An announcement which should in any case revive speculation on the title, the value of which has melted by 80% since the beginning of the year.
