Attack with knife – attempted murder: grandpa saves grandma from rabid grandson

On Saturday evening there were shocking scenes in Frohnleiten (Styria): A 21-year-old is said to have attacked his two grandparents (both 63) with a kitchen knife. He then told the police that he wanted to kill them both. The grandfather was able to prevent the worst.

The police rushed to a call for help from an elderly couple in Frohnleiten shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two 63-year-olds had multiple cuts when the executive arrived at their family home. Shortly before, there had been bloody scenes: the 21-year-old grandson had attacked his grandmother with a kitchen knife and injured her in the face. Grandfather saved his wife The courageous grandfather stood protectively in front of his wife and may have saved her life. He was also injured in the hand. The grandson let go of his victims because of the resistance and ran out of the house. The grandparents alerted the police, whose search on Saturday evening was initially unsuccessful. The two victims were taken to the LKH Bruck. Suspect arrested The police then met the 21-year-old the next morning in his apartment, where he was arrested without resistance. He also immediately confessed and stated that he wanted to kill his grandparents. The suspect is now in the Graz-Jakomini prison and has already been interrogated. A psychological report should now clarify whether he was sane at the time of the crime. According to the police, the man had never been conspicuous by violence before.
