This Tuesday evening, the suspense remains around the second wave of the ministerial reshuffle. However, an announcement was expected during the day with around fifteen new ministers or secretaries of state. Emmanuel Macron and Gabriel Attal had lunch together at the Élysée this Tuesday noon, but did not manage to finalize their arbitrations.

The two men are taking their time and it is difficult to say this Tuesday evening when the new ministers will be appointed. Because François Bayrou’s acquittal on Monday reshuffled the cards. The head of MoDem would negotiate to increase the weight of his party within the government.

His name is still circulating for national education, but also for the armies or for state reform. The fate of Amélie Oudéa-Castéra could therefore depend on her appointment, whose future seems more compromised than ever on rue de Grenelle.

Other right-wing figures potentially in government

On the entrant side, the Renaissance deputy for Eure-et-Loir Guillaume Kasbarian could inherit Housing. David Valence is mentioned at the Ministry of Transport, while Horizons elected official Frédéric Valletoux, former president of the French Hospital Federation, is cited for Health.

For her part, Sabrina Agresti-Roubache should keep her portfolio for the City, Citizenship and Integration. Finally, a close friend of the president confides that it is not excluded that right-wing personalities join the government. Agnès Evren, president of the LR federation in Paris, is notably cited for a position of secretary of state.
