Customers of the Sparkasse and Volks- und Raiffeisenbanken are currently being increasingly targeted by fraudsters. Here is a summary of the phishing attacks you should be particularly wary of at the moment.
The Schleswig-Holstein consumer advice center is currently warning customers of the Volks- und Raiffeisenbanken of a phishing scam. In e-mails, users are informed of an alleged “suspicious transfer” in the amount of 4,999 euros. This is said to have already been canceled – but the user should now carry out an account check via an attached link.
As is so often the case, the e-mails are attempts at fraud, through which attackers want to get their victims’ account data. In this case, the messages are relatively easy to expose as fakes based on the not very serious email address “[email protected]”.
If you have received one of the emails, you should move them to your spam folder without reply.
Savings bank customers are also being targeted by fraudsters again
The consumer advice center has also been warning of a scam targeting Sparkasse customers for a few days. It reads that the Sparkasse allegedly developed the so-called “Sparkassen Fingerprint System (SKFS)”. This is to protect against unauthorized access to user accounts. Recipients would only have to click the link in the email to activate it.
In this case, too, it is again an attempted fraud with which the attackers want to get their victims’ account data. Similar to the phishing attack described above, you should also move these e-mails directly to the spam folder.
